I am so sorry you feel this way. I will tell you that there have been a lot of changes in the membership, and we are working very hard to get the right people on line to the user group. Many have moved on, but the sited have not notified us, which is very hard. We feel there is so much knowledge, not only for CPN, but Maternal Child Health in general. It’s getting to that base and help. I would be more than happy to help you with questions, and if I can’t help you to contact other sites that may be doing what you are doing. We have decided as a group that we will not be having a conference this year, however, we are working on more modern meeting forums like webinars. This can be a challenge as topics are hard to decide on. We would love input for webinars you may be interested in.
There are many ways get emails from the group. We have so many different opinions on how this should be done. Many hospitals block the emails from in boxes. So the way it is set up now, is the best way for us to reach people and have dialogue.
Many of the CPNUG also expressed that they did not want the emails directly sent to them every time someone was posting, as it cluttered their emails. So we have to consider all input from all CPNUG users.
We are in a new age of communicating. Many of the hospitals are not looking to send people for conferences anymore. I was lucky enough to attend every conference from 2000, and they were invaluable to me. But now conferences are not how the hospital feels it wants the users to participate in the group. We have seen that over the last few conferences.
So I guess in answer to your question, there are people who are involved in the CPNUG, and if you feel that you are not getting answers to your posts, please reach out directly to the board via cpnugmembership.org and we will do our best to help out.
